Rovers Walking Footballers’ Charity Excellence

Friday December 24th 2021

This year Raith Rovers walking footballers have proved themselves, yet again, to be a class above.

Already backing Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) with their shirt sponsorship, the team have raised £1500 for Christmas donations for local kids.

Previous Christmases have seen the guys donate to the Cottage Family Centre and to Victoria Hospital Children’s Ward.

This year, through donations at their regular Sunday football sessions and sizeable donations from John Wylie, Harry Younger at Bodywyse Autocare and Neil Galloway at Natwest, funds to purchase toys have been raised.

Funds will be split between the Kingdom Kids Toy Appeal and once again the children’s ward at Victoria Hospital.

Raith Rovers Walking Football Group are always keen to support the local community whenever they can.
