50/50 Winner Alec Stevenson with Tony Coventry

Alec Stevenson, who made the trip to Kirkcaldy to watch his team Motherwell take on hosts Raith Rovers, went home last night a winner.

Alec was delighted to help Raith by buying a few 50/50 tickets but was “Over the Moon” to have one of his tickets pulled out of the tombola by assistant groundsman Tony Coventry. Alec’s ticket number 301500 netted him a healthy £156 – not a bad night!

Tony Coventry, who presented Alec with his winnings, celebrated his 41st Birthday on Saturday at Laurie Ellis’s testimonial.

25 years for Tony Coventry

Laurie might have achieved a fantastic 10 years service for Raith Rovers but Tony out-stripped the First Team Coach’s total by 15 years having now been wielding a fork at Stark’s Park for a very impressive quarter of a century!
