Euro 95 Raffle

Thursday August 26th 2021

Rovers Down South recently commissioned acclaimed artist Paul Town to produce two Rovers works of art (attached):

  • · Rovers first European goal against Gotu, scored by Jason Dair
  • · and the aftermath of Danny Lennon’s goal against Bayern in Munich

To cover the upfront cost of these two originals and the first run of A3 prints for sale to supporters, we need to raise £3000.

So we’re offering 30 individuals/groups/businesses the chance to take part in a “super raffle” at £100 each – a hefty stake, but:

  • · there’s a 1 in 15 chance of winning an original………..3×2 ft in size
  • · every participant is guaranteed a limited edition print, signed by Jason or Danny……………and the artist
  • · we plan to have an online event & draw involving Jason, Danny, and our 30 ticket holders
  • · and the exercise will allow many other supporters the chance to buy prints at a competitive price

All proceeds from sales of additional prints will go to Raith Rovers.

Bill Baxter takes over as Raith Rovers manager. He took Rovers to a Scottish Cup Quarter final but league form was poor at the start of the 1971-72 season and he was dismissed in November 1971.
