Commencing on Monday 23rd November Raith Rovers Community Foundation are creating a Walk & Talk group for adults aged 35 years and older.

Meeting every Monday from 10.30-12,  the idea behind the programme is to have a group of adults meet, socialise and stay active together. The benefits include:

– Walking in a group can make us feel more connected to each other, reducing loneliness and isolation.

– Walking can improve mood and sleep-quality, reduce stress and anxiety.

– Being in nature or in green spaces is shown to have a positive impact on mental health.

At the end of each walk we will stay together and socialise for 30 minutes and have tea, coffees and even the occasional cake and biscuits 😊

If you are interested in joining the group please email Community Foundation Development Manager Paul Greig at community@raithrovers.net informing us of your interest to join the Walk & Talk Group.

Please note: All walks and gatherings will adhere fully to Scottish Government guidelines in regards to social engagement and outdoor sporting activities for adults.

We hope to welcome a good number of you to the group in the coming weeks!
