Bye Bye Bairdy

Saturday June 6th 2020

Rovers striker John Baird (who scored the goal v Forfar that ultimately meant Rovers won the Ladbrokes SPFL League 1 title last season) has confirmed that he will be completing his emigration to Australia later this month.

Bairdy scored 45 goals for the club over three separate spells at Stark’s Park, including the winner in the 2014 Challenge Cup Final win over Rangers at Easter Road.

Everyone at the club wishes ‘Bairdy’ the best for the future, and look forward to welcoming him back to Stark’s Park when he returns to Scotland in the future.

RaithTV caught up with John earlier this week:

Stevie Crawford played for Scotland U-21's against Brazil in the Toulon Tournament.
