Win a Part in Val McDermid’s latest thriller!

Monday May 18th 2020

A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH?

KILL OR BE KILLED?

Val McDermid is the internationally best-selling multi-award winning thriller writer known as ‘the Queen of Crime’. Now’s your chance to feature in Val’s upcoming Karen Pirie thriller, STILL LIFE, and do a good deed at the same time.

The winner of this auction will have a character in STILL LIFE named after them – or a loved one. It’s up to Val how you end up – hero or villain, friend or foe, alive or dead! The book will be published in August in the UK by Little, Brown.

The proceeds from this character name auction will be split equally between the Homeless World Cup Foundation (https://homelessworldcup.org/) and Raith Rovers FC.

The link to the auction will be posted here and on the clubs social media shortly.

People are struggling right now. Many are becoming homeless, all over the world. Football, and in particular the Homeless World Cup, is a beacon of hope to many. It’s where we come together to share a passion.

Share your passion for books as well as football by Keeping The Ball Rolling with Karen Pirie!

Rovers defeat Burntisland Shipyard 9-2 in a Fife Cup tie match at Stark's Park. Paul Smith and Keith Wright amongst the goalscorers with two goals apiece.
