Rovers number 10 Lewis Vaughan left the field of play 56 minutes into the game at Station Park, Forfar on Saturday – just after scoring the equalising goal. He was taken directly to hospital from Station Park.
The injury to his right knee has now been medically scanned and assessed; Lewis has suffered a rupture to his ACL (anterior cruciate ligament).
The injury will require an operation, with an anticipated recovery time of 6-9 months.
