G’day to Aaron Lennox

Monday June 20th 2016

We are delighted to announce the season long loan signing of Aberdeen goalkeeper Aaron Lennox (23).

The 6ft 3ins Australian Under 23 stopper, who was previously on the books of Queen’s Park Rangers, arrived in Kirkcaldy yesterday and has joined his new team mates for fitness testing today at Michael Woods Centre, Glenrothes before full pre season training begins tomorrow.

Aaron’s international career has seen him feature 7 times for the ‘Olyroos’, the Under 23 side (which has not qualified for this summer’s Olympic Games) as well as younger representative sides, while in Scotland he has featured regularly for the Dons’ Under 20 side where he was spotted by our new management team.

Manager Gary Locke continues his efforts to further strengthen the squad ahead of the big kick off on Friday 15th July when we travel to face Cove Rangers FC at Forfar in the Betfred Cup.

In front of 48275 at Tynecastle Rovers take on Falkirk in the Scottish Cup semi-final. Falkirk take an early lead through Grierson but Jimmy McEwan and Copland make it 2-1 before half-time. A minute into the second half an Andy Leigh OG levels the scores.
