One young footballing star will be the talk of Torbain Primary School when the kids go back after the summer holiday next week. Six year old Ewan Simpson was picked from a group of 40 for the Star of the Week award for the second week of the Raith Academy Fun Time Football coaching sessions which were being held at the Kirkcaldy high School all weather pitch.

Level 3 coach David Cassidy told the website that he had chosen Ewan as he was an all-rounder and applied himself really well to all the tasks the young players were asked to do.

So it’s back to school for Ewan on Tuesday and we are sure he will be showing off his trophy and his mini Raith Rovers football to all his class mates.
