David McKay

McKay hugely impressed the management team in the 2014-15 season, both in the development matches, in which he featured as a trialist, and also in training. Released by Hibernian after 4 years on their books, he came to the attention of the Development Coach at the time and was invited to join training sessions. When he was pitched into action in the U20 Development squad, he shone out as an excellent prospect and the management moved quickly to secure his signature. Dave played a major part in the success of the U20 Development Team last season and lifted the trophy as captain of the side. He has already made first team appearances in this season’s pre-friendlies, as well as playing his first ninety minutes in the Scottish League Cup game against Cowdenbeath. He made 25 appearances in the 2017-18 season and is contracted through until the end of the 2018-19 season.

Josh signed a 2 year apprenticeship contract on 10th August 2017,

Euan Valentine

Position: Defender

Born: 3rd October 2000, Edinburgh

Previous Clubs: Fife Elite Football Academy

Fife Elite Football Academy (FEFA) graduate Euan Valentine put pen to paper on a two year contract in May 2017 joining the club as a Modern Apprentice.
Euan made 15 appearances for the Development team last season.
Coach Craig Easton said "He’s even been involved in bounce games with the first team and it’s been great to see him handle everything we’ve thrown at him at such a young age. He’s a tenacious full-back who takes a pride in defending, but he loves to get forward and join in the attack and delivers dangerous balls from the left hand side. His attitude and determination is superb and he’s exactly the type of character we’re looking for at Raith Rovers.”.
On 31st January Euan joined Broxburn Athletic. Euan is comfortable defending and attacking down the left flank and joins Broxburn to gain competitive match experience.
