Booth to the Squad

Thursday June 20th 2013

Manager Grant Murray has moved to further strengthen the squad for the upcoming campaign by securing the services of Hibernian left back / midfielder Callum Booth on a season long loan.

The 22 year old has been on Hibs’ books since the age of 10 and showed sufficient potential to have been awarded a 5 year contract by the Easter Road side back in 2010. Callum, capped at both Under 19 and Under 21 levels, has also gained valuable first team experience in loan periods with Arbroath, Brechin and Livingston.

Callum will join his new team mates for the start of pre season training on Saturday, and no doubt will be looking forward to facing his parent club in next month’s pre season friendly (Fri 12th July).

Brian Potter becomes a Rovers legend by coming on as a substitute for goalkeeper Scott Thomson who was harshly sent-off in normal time in the League Cup semi-final against Airdrie at McDairmid Park. Although Potter conceeded an equaliser to the late Stevie Cooper
