Thursday September 20th 2012

Simon Mensing became a Rovers player on Friday 14th September just in time for the Airdrie match.

A six foot plus defensive midfielder he has most recently played for St.Johnstone, Motherwell and Hamilton. Mensing became a huge fans favourite with his aggressive style of play and was nicknamed ‘Gunter’ due to his German roots.

On his debut against the Diamonds he was awarded Man of the Match.
