Damage to Seating at Firhill

Friday February 21st 2020

Further to the Club statement issued on 17th February, we have today been advised by Partick Thistle FC that they are seeking to recover costs from Raith Rovers FC for the damage suffered to several seats during our match there on 14th February.

An application has been made under regulation H40 to the SPFL, and we await further developments.

We have included the regulation in this release so that those who were responsible have a clear understanding of the impact on their Club and others:

Regulation H40

In the event that any damage shall be caused to the fabric of a Home Ground or Neutral Venue, including any fixtures and fittings and/or the pitch, by the supporters of the Visiting Club or, in the case of such a Neutral Venue, the supporters of either Club participating in the relevant match, on the occasion of an Official Match then the Visiting Club in the case of such damage to the fabric of the ground, of a Home Club or, as the case may be, the Club whose supporters causing or who have caused any such damage to a Neutral Venue, shall, if and only if directed by the Board and subject to the relevant Maximum Aggregate Amounts Payable set out in Rule H42, be obliged to compensate the Home Club, Neutral Venue owner or, where the Company has to any extent compensated or be obliged to compensate a Neutral Venue owner, the Company, in the costs and/or expense and/or liability reasonably incurred or to be incurred by the Home Club, Neutral Venue owner and/or Company in repairing and making good such damage.”

Stevie Crawford replaced Christian Dailly as a 66th minute substitute in Scotland U-21's 1-0 defeat in the European Championship 3rd/4th place play-offs.
