An Afternoon with Tam Cowan

Thursday January 16th 2020

Raith Rovers are delighted to announce our annual Sportsman’s event will again be held at the Strathearn Hotel and will be on Sunday 8th March 2020. The guest speaker of the day is Scottish football journalist and radio presenter, Tam Cowan.

Due to the success and feedback from our Coca Cola Cup brunch, we decided to change the format of the event and host a brunch, rather than a dinner.

The day will be compered Scott Davy, who did a fantastic job hosting our previous brunch. The fundraiser will begin at 12 noon and guests will enjoy a buffet brunch shortly after arrival. Our guest speaker, Tam Cowan, will then entertain guests and there will also be an auction and a raffle.

Tickets cost just £40 per person and can be booked by calling 01592 263514 or emailing commercialraithrovers.net.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday 8th March.

Rovers take on Kirkcaldy Union in the semi-final of the Kirkcaldy Junior Cup. Union were the lessees of Stark's Park at that time. The emotion of the fixture spilled over into the crowd and a pitched battle between rival fans ensued. Officials failed to clear the pitch of battling fans and so Councillor Stark took matters into his own hands and released a young bull from the byre at the North End of the ground and order was restored.
