Injury Update

Tuesday October 29th 2019

With key players suffering injuries recently, here is an update on the squad for this week:

After suffering a knee injury in training on Friday morning, midfield playmaker Regan Hendry is scheduled to have a scan on his left knee shortly. The scan will then be analysed by a consultant surgeon, and the plan communicated to the club in due course regarding the treatment required and expected rehabilitation / recovery time.

There is good news for winger / forward Grant Anderson, with the versatile attacker set to train tonight and Thursday evening. After leaving the stadium after the Glenavon cup tie with his right arm in a sling to protect a shoulder injury, Grant has made a good recovery from the injury sustained in the Challenge Cup match just over 2 weeks ago.

Midfield dynamo Brad Spencer had to miss training in the early part of this week after twisting his knee in the derby match v East Fife (where he also scored the equalising goal with a volley), but is expected to train fully on Thursday and Friday and is hopeful of being available for the trip to Peterhead this weekend.

Management team John McGlynn and Paul Smith’s options are also boosted by the return of defender Steven Anderson to the matchday squad, with the defender (on loan from St Johnstone) having served his 1 match suspension last weekend following his red card at Clyde the week before.
