Footgolf Funday 2019

Wednesday September 11th 2019

Our third footgolf funday event takes place this Sunday and we are really looking forward to a great event which starts at 10.30am at Cluny Activities. We are grateful to our additional new sponsors of the event and everyone supporting us. It looks like the weather is also going in our favour too!

We kindly ask that you bring some cash for Sunday as we have some great additional challenges as well as a raffle, and if you are really keen to post a great team score, there will also be the chance to purchase your favourite player for your team too!

There are still two team places available now and as scoring is based on the average for the team, we are able to accept pairs so don’t worry if you haven’t got a third person- you won’t be disadvantaged. If you do want to take part, don’t miss out and contact commercialraithrovers.net by 1pm on Friday.

If you can’t make it on the day, but still wish to contribute to the success of the event, we have four holes left to sponsor aimed at small businesses in the local area. It would be great if we could fill the last few places so get in touch if you are able to help at commercialraithrovers.net

Thank you everyone and see you Sunday! Remember: no football boots are permitted, and do dress accordingly for the weather (looking like bring your suncream)!

Rovers take on Aberdeen at Pittodrie in the First Round of the Scottish Cup and earn a 1-1 draw in front of 10719 fans. Rovers scorer is Tom Mackle. Mackle had earlier hit the bar and Davie Sneddon met a similar fate with hi penalty. The Dons win the replay 0-1 back at Stark's Park two days later in near gale force conditions. The only goal of the game came in bizarre fashion. Bobby Reid?s clearance got caught in the strong wind and blew back into his own net.
