Raith Supporters’ Fund – Update

Friday August 2nd 2019

The results are in and the Raith Supporters’ Fund has made a tremendous start!

Since its relaunch and re-branding on 1st July, 218 contributions were made into the fund generating £3,491. Thank you to our 146 new contributors and 72 converting PDF contributors for signing up and making a payment in July.

As promised, one entry per £10 contributed will be entered into the first quarter prize draw which looks to be on target for a £1,000 cash prize! In addition, these contributors (should they continue to contribute until the end of June next year) will be eligible for our end of season promotion bonus draw for £2,500 – we have everything crossed that we will have to pay this out to someone!

The next steps for the Fund, now that we have our 1st contributions will be to:

  • Issue our unique pin badges specially commissioned for Fund contributors. These will be available for collection at the 1st home match versus Clyde on 10th August, or will be posted to those living further afield.
  • As noted in the Memorandum of Agreement, Supporters Director Andy Mill will be looking for assistance as part of an independent organising committee drawn from contributors.
  • Wall charts around Stark’s Park will now be updated to keep supporters informed of our progress.
  • We will also be including contributors names in the thank you pages of our matchday programme ‘Rovers Review’

As indicated, the Raith Supporters’ Fund contributions are used to support and boost our first team playing budget – it has played a huge part in allowing us to build a squad of 21 players to start the season and has allowed us to improve the contract for Kieron Bowie, a young lad from right here in Kirkcaldy.

Again we would like to say a huge thank you to all those who have contributed so far, our initial target was £10,000 per quarter and we are very close to achieving that. Anyone who would still like to contribute can do so by clicking here to receive the information required when setting up a standing order with your bank.

Rovers defeat St. Andrews University 15-2 at Stark's Park in the first round of the Fife Cup. John Jarvis scored a record nine goals with others coming from McLaren (2)
