Brad Spencer

Wednesday June 12th 2019

The club have today formally completed the signing of midfielder Brad Spencer (aged 23) on a 1 year deal. Brad started last season at Dumbarton before signing for Forfar in January. He caught the eye of John McGlynn and Paul Smith in the matches he played against the Rovers last season, and will enhance our midfield options.

Brad started off in the academy of Houston Dynamos in the USA where his father (former Rangers, Chelsea, Everton and Scotland striker John) played and coached.

He then signed for Kilmarnock in 2017 before joining the Sons at the start of last season.

Manager John McGlynn said of his latest acquisition: “Brad impressed me greatly while playing for Forfar last season. He’s the type of player who’ll do a good job for us – his passing range, vision and athleticism will fit into our style of play. He’s young and ambitious, with a desire to get back into full-time football and progress upwards in the game”

Welcome to the Rovers Brad!

RaithTV will be catching up with the new signings over the coming weeks when the players report for pre-season training at Stark’s Park

Inside Forward Alexander McCulloch signs from Coventry City but only manages 8 first team appearances in two seasons.
