SPFL Championship Play-Offs

Sunday May 5th 2019

With league positions finalised, we are playing Forfar Athletic home and away in the SPFL Championship Play-Off Semi Final this week to try and secure promotion to the SPFL Championship – after an absence of 2 seasons.

South Stand crowdThese matches are our biggest of the season, and will determine whether we play in the SPFL Championship or League One in season 2019-2020, so we need a big, enthusiastic support in the stands at Stark’s Park to cheer the team on!

In the SPFL Championship, Queen of the South finished 9th, so will play 4th placed Montrose in the other semi-final.

Our games will be played as follows:

Tuesday May 7th at 7.45pm
Championship play-off Semi Final, 1st leg
Raith Rovers v Forfar Athletic

Saturday May 11th at 3pm
Championship play-off Semi Final, 2nd leg
Forfar Athletic Raith Rovers

Matchday Arrangements / Admission Prices

The Rovers Board have been finalising arrangements for the home match in the semi-final, and have decided that Rovers supporters will be housed in the Penman Family (South) Stand and the Turnbull Hutton (Main) Stand as usual, with Forfar supporters in the Key-Tech Stand.

As SPFL Playoff matches are not included on Rovers season tickets, the club have set the following reduced prices for the home match v Forfar:

  • £10 Adults
  • £5 Concessions – Under 16, Over 65 and Disabled

Admission is paid by cash at turnstiles for ALL supporters (there will be no concession sales at the Ticket Office) with lifetime passes the only pass that applies.

Travel to Forfar

The Board of Directors are delighted to offer subsidised coach travel once again to supporters for only £5 return for our away leg at Station Park on Saturday.

The bus can be booked by calling 01592 263514 or in person at the office. Seats must be paid for at the time of reservation.

The buses will leave from the McDermid Stand car park no later than 1.15pm. The 200 Club bar will be open from 11.30am for refreshments.

Rovers legendary goalkeeper Murray McDermott leaves after 12 years at the club. He made 494 appearances in an illustrious Rovers career. He joined Berwick Rangers after leaving Rovers in a contract dispute and sadly died in 2003.
