Nearly 80 supporters and players gathered at The Strathearn Hotel last Friday for the 8th annual Former Players’ Association/Rovers Down South Tribute Night.

In a break from tradition there was a mix of players from the 1970s through to the post millennium era, with players joining every table to enable more direct discussion with the supporters – something that went down very well.

John Greer won the Jeremy Paxman award for interviewing skills in the Q&A, and more than £1500 was raised for the club. And for those travelling up from down south, and everyone else, the weekend was capped off with a great win against Airdrie.

Thanks to everyone who organised and supported the event.
