After the incident in the Scottish Cup derby victory over Dunfermline Athletic (where pyrotechnic devices were thrown onto the playing surface after Rovers first goal was scored), we have had specialist contractors at Stark’s Park today (Friday) to make good the damage caused.

The area on the line of the 6 yard box was the area worst damaged, and so required the damaged carpet to be cut out and a ‘patch’ laid down and sewn into place (pictured below):

There were a total of 4 areas damaged by the pyrotechnic devices – fortunately the other 3 areas were not as badly burnt, and repairs were effected without the need to cut into and replace the playing surface in these 3 areas.

Regarding the individuals involved in this incident the club can report that 3 teenage males have already been identified and traced with a fourth currently being sought by Police Scotland.
