Raith Rovers Festive Raffle – Winners

Friday January 11th 2019

The Raith Rovers Festive Raffle was drawn in the 200 Club last Saturday. The winner of the 1st prize was Drew Webster (pictured below) who is now looking forward to a two night break in a luxury London hotel with £200 spending money.

This years raffle raised the incredible sum of £6500!! This fantastic amount was made possible by the collective effort of the Raith Rovers support. Special thanks must go to John Reid who worked tirelessly ensuring posters and tickets were available in a large number of retail outlets and for securing so many prizes, to Richie Long (a long standing Raith supporter from London) who secured us our fantastic first prize, to Graeme Montgomery from Addon Developments who sponsored the raffle again this year and many thanks to all those businesses and individuals who donated prizes.

A special mention also to those retail outlets that really made an effort to sell tickets: Liz and all the staff at the Novar Bar, Valerie and staff at the Co-op Markinch, Dougie and staff at Ladbrokes High St, Kirkcaldy, Bruce and staff at Travel Your World and Raymond at Raith Barbers.

Most importantly thank you to all the individual Raith fans who bought/sold tickets. We would never have raised so much without your support. This just shows what can be achieved when we work collectively for the benefit of the club. We expanded this years raffle to include various retail outlets throughout Kirkcaldy and beyond and our small band of volunteers had a presence outside supermarkets in the run up to Christmas. Our posters and tickets were distributed in the wider community and this led to an increase in sales.

We will learn from this experience and with a little more effort I’m sure our next raffle will be even more successful.
