Raith Rovers would like to congratulate former player David Bates on his call – up to the Scotland National team by manager Alex McLeish earlier this week.

The national team play in Albania tomorrow evening, followed by a home match at Hampden v Israel on Tuesday evening in a Uefa Nations League double-header.

After a rash of call – offs, former Raith Rovers academy player Bates (22) received the call to join the national squad in place of Blackburn’s Charlie Mulgrew.
