David McGurn Testimonial Match
David McGurn’s Testimonial match takes place on Sunday 23rd September 2018, 2pm kickoff.
The two teams playing will wear unique Puma strips selected for the match; two great companies that support Raith Rovers year in year out will sponsor these strips.
David L Douglas, Handmade Kitchens will be displayed on one team’s shirt while the other team’s will be emblazoned with Macgregor Solicitors. Match used signed shirts will then be auctioned.
There will be a special commemorative match programme with three lucky programme winners receiving a signed David McGurn Rovers’ goalkeeper shirt.
Players that have confirmed their participation in the game read like a who’s who of Raith Rovers’ legends through out the last 30 years: Jock McStay, Peter Hetherston, Colin Cameron, Jason Dair and Marvin Andrews amongst others, through to the players that won the Second Division alongside David McGurn: Allan Walker, Mark Campbell, Gary O’Connor and Stephen Simmons.
The Ramsden Cup Winners side are well represented with Grant Murray, Liam Fox, Callum Booth, Paul Watson, Greig Spence, Dougie Hill, Grant Anderson and Fraser Mullen.
Last week’s four-goal hero for Ross County Brian Graham will also make an appearance. Scott Robertson will be back to thank the Stark’s Park faithful for their support over his time at the club.
The Raith Suite and the 200 Club will both be open before and after the game.
