Work started this week (on Tuesday 10th July) on the final phase of the new Stark’s Park playing surface installation.

The laying and preparation of the synthetic ‘carpet’ (the top layer) is scheduled to take 2-3 weeks, depending on the weather. Progress can be tracked by checking PitchCam which updates hourly throughout the day.

The sub-contractors, engaged by main contractor Malcolm’s 0f Glasgow, rolled out the first section across the pitch in front of the Penman Family Stand at lunchtime on Tuesday, and RaithTV were on hand to capture a few clips as the project reaches its final stages.
