Raith Rovers are pleased to announce that Steven MacDonald has accepted an invitation to join the Board of Raith Rovers FC.

Steven said: “I have been a Rovers supporter all my life.  I have worked in Electrical Wholesaling since leaving Balwearie High School and started working in the industry under Rovers legend Bobby Reid at Ross Electrical.

I started my own company in 1988 (SM Electrical Supplies Ltd), growing the business over the last 31 years.

I look forward to bringing vision, a determination to succeed and a never say die attitude to my local club” 

Chairman Bill Clark said: “I am delighted that Steven has agreed to become a Director of Raith Rovers FC. He is a successful local businessman whose experience and expertise will be a valuable addition to the Board. He is also a Raith Rovers supporter and has had experience as Chairman of Thornton Hibs and from 2006 Glenrothes Juniors who were the first winners of the newly formed premier league” 

Stevens specific role and responsibilities have still to be finalised over the next few weeks but his business background will be an asset to RRFC.

Likewise, his experience in football administration will stand him in good stead in contributing to the full range of decision – making at the club.
