Raith Rovers can today confirm that Player-Coach Scott Robertson has decided to hang up his playing boots. Turning down an offer to remain with Raith, he has accepted an offer to become coach of the Dundee United Under 18s squad.

Scott felt it necessary to move on to the next stage of his footballing journey and focus on the coaching aspect of football – a game he has been involved with since making his debut for Dundee FC as a 17 year old in 2003.

As well as playing for the Rovers, Scott has been involved in running Raith Rovers Development Squad over the last two seasons, winning the Development League East title in both seasons, alongside Craig Easton. The pair will now work together at Tannadice.

Since signing for Rovers in 2015, Scott has played 63 times for the club, scoring 2 goals.

Although disappointed to see Scott move on, he leaves with our thanks for his service and best wishes for the future.
