After six years of terrific volunteer service, our matchday programme editor Phil Nicholson has decided to hang up his quill! The Rovers Review is a well respected and highly valued part of our matchday offering and is always professionally put together with facts, club related news and football stories from outside of Kirkcaldy. We would like to put on record our thanks to Phil for his dedication and professionalism over the years.

We therefore now have a fantastic opportunity for a new person to take on the matchday programme for the new season. This role would even suit someone living remotely, who has had publishing experience, or is looking to build up some experience on their CV.

An outline of the role is as follows:

Matchday Programme Editor:
Production of matchday programme for every home game of the Raith Rovers Football Club season including friendlies, Challenge Cup, League Cup, Scottish Cup and league fixtures. This will be around 25 programmes per season depending on success in cup competitions and home friendlies. Representation of Raith Rovers Football Club in a positive light is key. The matchday programme is one of several official media outlets of RRFC and as such the Editors role is to convey accurate information from the club to its supporters as well as promote advertisers and sponsors.

SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong computer knowledge and skills.
• Good grasp of English language and ability to structure an article or proof read an article.
• Ability to use a desktop publishing package (training can be provided)
• Experience of using Microsoft Office applications (or similar) such as Word and Excel for creation of articles and gathering of statistics.
• Ability to use email.
• Ability to co-ordinate a small team of people such as photographers, article writers, RRFC contributors and print company representatives to plan each edition and receive articles and collate in a timely fashion
• Ability to research articles and football trivia/ current affairs for inclusion

Phil has kindly agreed to give support and help with transition and we are hugely grateful to him for this offer.
