Raith Rovers were delighted recently to hear that the number of regular contributors to the club’s Player Development Fund has now reached the 100 mark!

Lifelong Rovers supporter Sandy Forbes is the contributor that has taken us to the century mark, and he told www.raithrovers.net: “I have a keen interest in the Rovers bringing young players of their own through the system, as well as the fact that my grandson is registered to the Rovers through Fife Elite. He is a Raith fan and a season ticket holder and is currently competing at under 14 level (2005s) for FEFA”

Head Coach of the Player Development Squad Craig Easton said of the most recent contribution: “I’d like to Thank Sandy for becoming our 100th subscriber as well as repeating my thanks to all who have contributed so far to the PDF! Myself and everyone involved at the football club really appreciate the support given to the programme and the future of the football club. Hopefully, with your help, we’ll see more of these talented young players breaking into the first team in the next couple of years”.

Raith Rovers FC Director with responsibility for Youth Development Bill Clark added: “All of us with a role to play in supporting the Development Squad are grateful to Sandy and all other contributors for their commitment.
Indeed, the entire Board of Directors appreciates the involvement of Rovers fans in supporting this initiative”
