Pitch Update: GAME OFF

Friday December 15th 2017

Sat 11:20am UPDATE: Following a pitch inspection at 11am, today’s game against Albion Rovers has been called off.

We will update you with news of the rescheduled fixture as soon as we can.

Pitch Update: 5.00pm – Friday 15th December

The Stark’s Park pitch has been under protective covers for several days and is currently playable.

However, temperatures again overnight will be at freezing point and then are not forecasted to rise considerably again throughout tomorrow morning.

Removing the covers as late as possible is our aim so as not to expose the grass to the elements, however our opponents have also asked we consider their travel arrangements.

Therefore the SPFL have arranged a preliminary inspection for 11am on Saturday. We are still very hopeful that the game will be playable as planned.

We have a group of staff and volunteers in place for 9am to remove the covers but more hands make light work! So if you have a spare couple of hours and can get down to Stark’s Park, then your help would be appreciated.

News will be released via our official channels first thing tomorrow.

Rovers defeat Berwick Rangers 8-1 at Stark's Park with Joe Baker netting five times. Tom Brown Roddy Georgeson and Malky Robertson were the other scorers.
