A Memorial Match will take place at Stark’s Park this Sunday (22nd October 2017) in memory of Raith Rovers fan Aidan Sutherland.

Aidan passed away earlier this year, just two days after his twentieth birthday. All proceeds from the match will go towards Diabetes Research and The Wellness Foundation.

The match will be played by a reunited Kirkcaldy YM 19s (who won the league cup in 2016) versus Steadings AFC (Aidan’s most recent Sunday amateur team), with the aim of raising awareness of Diabetes.

Event organisers Rebecca Birrell and Ben Graham said: “The idea of the game came from a small group of Aidans close friends and family as we feel it is fantastic opportunity to remember Aidans life, as football was his life, and to help raise awareness and money to stop others suffering like Aidan did.

We are so glad we can use Stark’s Park as the venue, as Aidan supported Raith Rovers since he was a young boy”
