Yaw and Andreas celebrating the team winning Development League East Champions 2016/17

Raith Rovers are pleased to announce that Yaw Osei and Andreas Thorsen have returned to the Club and have formally signed a one year professional contract.  Both are still seen as developing players who will be a key part of the Raith Rovers Development Squad, coached by Craig Easton.  However, with this season’s first team squad being small, in comparison to previous years, these two young players will have to be ready and able to play a role in the first team when opportunities undoubtedly arise.

Craig Easton, Head Coach for Youth Development, said, “I am absolutely delighted to have signed Yaw and Andreas for another year. Both of them showed major progress last season and contributed massively to the Development Squad’s success. We know they’re not the finished article but believe they can support the first team when needed and I have no doubt that, throughout this season, with our help, they will continue their development as professional football players.

Everyone at the club is delighted to that Yaw and Andreas have committed again and we hope with their help we will be Roaring Back again this season.

Yaw Osei and Andreas Thorsen are joined by Dave MacKay who also signed as a young professional player at the end of last season.
