This year marks the 50th anniversary of Jim Baxter’s epic performance in Scotland’s 3-2 victory over England at Wembley in 1967. Remember England were then the reigning champions of the world.

Raith Rovers were Jim Baxter’s first senior club and they are organising a celebration event in the Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy on the evening of Monday 17th April. The show will have film highlights of the 1967 game and footage of many other memorable Baxter moments, as well as personal inputs from several celebrities who had connections with ‘Slim Jim’.

Standard tickets are £20 and VIP tickets are £30 which get you a pre show ‘Pie  and a Pint’ and the opportunity to meet the celebrities. Tickets are now on sale at the Adam Smith Theatre Box Office Tel: 01592 583302 or online at www.onfife.com (standard tickets only).

Sponsorship packages are available. For details email pdf@raithrovers.net

The purpose behind the event is to raise funds for the Raith Rovers Player Development Squad, so we can aspire to find and nurture the next generation of players with some of Jim Baxter’s skills.
