Last Saturday evening, goalkeeper Kevin Cuthbert helped raise awareness of the plight of young Pars supporter Ava Stark (3) who needs a bone marrow transplant urgently.

He urged supporters within the qualifying age range to register to donate bone marrow and several have committed to do so over the last few days. Who knows, maybe…just maybe…one of these will be a perfect match for the youngster!

“Cat” put up for auction the goalkeeper gloves he wore at East End Park last weekend, achieving a clean sheet as the two sides fought out a tough, uncompromising 0 – 0 draw. This resulted in a flurry of activity once the auction was announced on our social media channels, and we are delighted to confirm that the gloves have been won by Raith supporter Daniel McWhirter whose amazing bid of £290 was the highest received before bids closed last night.

Daniel will receive the signed gloves from Kevin Cuthbert at our next home match against Ayr United on 22 November.

Thanks to all who pledged to become a donor and thanks to Daniel and Kevin for their tremendous generosity to help the cause of wee Ava Stark, and her quest for matching bone marrow donor.
