Popular keeper Kevin Cuthbert pulled off several terrific saves during Saturday’s Fife derby against Dunfermline Athletic. But before the match, kind-hearted “Cat” had been so touched by an article in the Pars match day programme that he wanted to do something to help raise awareness of brave 3 year old Ava Stark’s condition.

The Young Pars fan has a rare blood disease and she urgently needs a bone marrow transplant. However, at this time a suitable donor has not been found. Please, if you’re aged between 17 and 55 and in reasonable health, register today as a donor via www.dkms.org.uk/en or www.anthonynolan.org.

And to help raise funds for the cause, the Rovers keeper has signed the actual goalie gloves he wore today at East End Park and has donated them to be auctioned.

So please, if you can, register as a donor AND/or make a bid for Cat’s gloves!  Secret bids may be made by emailing football@raithrovers.net by no later than 5pm on Tuesday 8th November stating the amount of your bid, and giving a contact telephone number.

The winner will be announced on Tuesday evening.

Sometimes, stories like wee Ava’s put life into perspective. Rivals in football, but we’re all Ava Stark supporters!!
