Darren Jackson Appointed Assistant Manager
Manager Gary Locke has confirmed his first recruit at Stark’s Park. We are delighted to welcome our new Assistant Manager, Darren Jackson.
Darren, a UEFA A Licence holder, was latterly 1st Team Coach for Dundee United under Jackie MacNamara. In that role he worked alongside Simon Donnelly in all aspects of match preparation, carried out detailed opposition analysis and delivered varied training sessions. He also specialised in coaching strikers and there is glowing testimony as to his coaching abilities from players such as Nadir Ciftci, and Ryan Gauld. Notably he also helped develop Simon Murray, Ryan Dow, Stuart Armstrong, Gary Mackay-Steven and Andy Robertson into the players they have become.
As a player with several clubs, among them Newcastle Utd, Dundee Utd, Hibernian, Celtic and Hearts, his career saw him also gain 28 Scotland caps, scoring 4 goals.
