McCord Signs On the Dotted Line

Wednesday June 3rd 2015

Raith Rovers FC are very pleased to confirm that we have today completed the signing of former Alloa Athletic and Dundee United midfielder Ryan McCord on a 1 year deal. Ryan (26) is delighted to be joining the Stark’s Park outfit as one of manager Ray McKinnon’s first signings, and the new gaffer is equally excited to get his man.

Commenting as the deal was completed this morning, Ray enthused “Ryan is an outstanding technical football player. He’s an intelligent passer of the ball and will really suit the style I want us to play. I’m sure he will greatly benefit from full time training, and his experience will complement the younger players I’m also bringing in.”

Rovers draw 2-2 at Cappielow in a Scottish Cup third round tie. The attendance was 3100. Rovers scorers were Gordon Dalziel and Kenny McDonald.
