The recently formed Raith Rovers Community Foundation (RRCF) is seeking to appoint a full-time, experienced Community Development Worker to drive forward social and educational programmes throughout the Kirkcaldy area.  RRCF is a voluntary organisation, which has applied to OSCR to become a registered Scottish charity (SCIO).  Although independent from Raith Rovers Football Club it has the full support of the Club for its activities.

The day to day work of the person appointed will involve delivering sport focused, social and health education programmes and community development projects.  They will be supported, when appropriate, by a small team of sessional staff and volunteers.

It is expected that to achieve the objectives of the Community Foundation the person appointed will work closely with Raith Rovers FC staff and in partnership with the local authority, funders and other agencies. The key role will be to plan, organise and deliver projects in conjunction with the RRCF Board of Trustees. The position will have an administrative base at Stark’s Park, Kirkcaldy.

The successful candidate must have access to a car and must be able to work flexibly.  Appointment will be subject to membership of the PVG scheme.

In addition to a competitive hourly rate, the position offers 20 days leave (plus 6 statutory/public holidays) and entry to Raith Rovers home league games!

Due to the nature of the funding for this post, in the first instance appointment must be temporary for one year.
