Raith Rovers sit proudly at the top of the U20 Development League East table after a deserved 2-0 win aginst Alloa's youngsters in Tuesdsay nights game under the Stark's Park floodlights.

The young Rovers had a sprinkling of first team players in their line up notably Dougie Hill back on the road to full fitness after his long lay off,  Lewis Vaughan complete with his Golden boots and Ross Callachan eager to get a full match under their belts.

Over the ninety minutes  Raith were the stronger of the two teams creating more chances that the Wasps  but the visitors were lively enough to keep Scott Law in the Rovers goal on his toes. Callum Robertson put the home side ahead in the first half  hitting the back of the net after a fine passing move and Ross Callachan sealed the victory in the second half with a screamer of a goal.

Dougie Hill was replaced by Andrew Munro after 65 minutes and should be well on his way to included in the list of players available for first team duties. Raith and East Stirling are clear at the top of the East Table on 16 points after having both played  six games but it's Raith that take the top spot on goal difference with both teams having scored 16  the Kirkcaldy club  having only 3 goals against compared to East Stirling 5 against.

The Rovers starting  line up on the night was, Scott Law, Kieran Campbell, Elliot Ford, Ross Matthews(capt.), Dougie Hill, David Bates, Ross Callachan, Lewis Vaughan, Johnathan Court, Callum Robertson, Liam McCroary.  Subs. Andrew Munro, Aaron Wood, Ross Crawford.
