Raith Rovers Golf Day

The Raith Rovers Golf Day at Kirkcaldy Golf Club was a great success. The Balwearie course was in fantastic condition and we were blessed with a dry day – many thanks to the club for allowing us to use the course.

We had 19 sponsored teams and, after a few last minute calls by Ally Gourlay, we had an excellent turn out of past and present team players.

Grant Murray, who kicked the tournament off, was joined by Jimmy Nicholl, Peter Heatherston, Jason Dair, Scott Thomson, Hamish McAlpine, Andy Harrow, Greig Spence and Iain Davidson. Laurie Ellis had many of the younger players on show and was joined by other first team players who teamed up with sponsors, fans and legends.

George Buchan’s team, with Hamish McAlpine on board, were the overall winners but all prize winners are listed below.

Special mention to Duncan Weir, an Executive Director with the R&A in St. Andrews, for the prizes he generously donated for the day. Anthony Caira (the pro) laid on video analysis and was involved during the whole day too.
