2014 / 2015 Squad Begins To Take Shape

Friday May 9th 2014

Raith Rovers FC is delighted to announce the first addition to manager Grant Murray’s squad for next season.

Craig Barr (27) has signed a pre contract agreement and will join the club as soon as the registration window opens. The experienced and versatile defender / midfielder ended this season with Airdrieonians, following a short spell with Swedish outfit Ostersunds. Craig previously spent a successful three year period at Livingston. Everyone at Stark’s Park looks forward to welcoming Craig when pre-season training begins.

Meanwhile, we are also pleased to report that skipper Jason Thomson, striker Calum Elliot and midfielders Kevin Moon and Liam Fox have all extended their contracts. Watch out for more news in the days and weeks ahead, including more new faces!!

In between the two Bayern Munich ties Rovers draw 2-2 with Rangers at Stark's Park in front of 9300 fans. Jimmy Nicholl rested Shaun Dennis and Mark Buist and Ian McMillan made their Rovers debut clearly with the manager saving players for the trip to Germany. The Rovers scorers were Mickey Cameron and Danny Lennon but the real star of the show was Tony Rougier who had no less than 3 different markers assigned to him during the game.
